About the event

Althea Dance Company will be in Paris (France) and New York City (USA) for its annual summer workshops. ADC will be in both cities for a 2 day workshop in Paris and a 5-day workshop in NYC during summer 2024. The company will offer contemporary technique classes, taught by the members of the company (Thea Bautista, Artistic Director of ADC, Artémus Grolleau-Birotteau and Logan Pedon, dancers of the company) and by a guest teacher, repertory classes, improvisation sessions and partnering classes. 

Althea Dance Company is a contemporary dance company based between Paris and New York. The work is a blend of contemporary flow and seamless movement, yet very physical, which mixes floorwork with the lines and extensions of the dancers.

The company focuses on international collaboration with artists from different fields such as writers, musicians, painters or visuals artists. Althea Dance also likes to perform in surprising and unusual spaces such as warehouses, artist studios, art galleries or outdoor stages. The company explores new ways of sharing dance with the audience and reaching out to people who may not be used to the contemporary dance scene.

So far, Althea Dance Company has performed internationally, mainly in the United States, the UK, France and Mexico and is aiming to keep expending its international voice.
